SUBROSA-SURVEILLANCE INVESTIGATIONS
We conduct surveillance of workers compensation claimants or individuals who are the subject in a civil matter. The time and length of surveillance varies in each matter. Usually, a minimum of 4 hours is required. We can accommodate long-term (several days to weeks) needs. During surveillance, the claimant or individual’s activities are documented in written form and recorded by videotape. After we complete an assignment, you are provided with an in-depth written report and a DVD or VHS copy of videotape of the individual’s activities.AOE/COE INVESTIGATIONS
This is the investigation of a workers compensation claim to determine if the injury alleged "Arose out of employment and during the course of employment." Normally, our investigators will interview the injured worker and take their statement as to the injury. We also interview other potential witnesses such as coworkers, supervisors, eye-witnesses and other relevant individuals. A detailed written report is forwarded to our clients. Normally, we conduct these investigations in a manner that they fall under the Attorney/Client work-product privilege.SERIOUS AND WILLFUL INVESTIGATIONS
In some workers compensation matters a claimant, usually through his attorney, will allege that the employer allowed, tolerated or failed to prevent an unsafe working environment. A petition is filed with the workers compensation appeals board alleging this conduct. Our investigative scope in these matters is to fully investigate the claimant’s allegations. We seek out witness statements and other relevant evidence in defense of the employer. This type of investigation is similar to an AOE/COE investigation—however; our investigative scope usually is directed towards the investigation of the claimant’s contention of the serious and willful condition or situation.FRAUD INVESTIGATION
When we are assigned a workers compensation claim we constantly are reviewing the claim for possible violations of state or federal law. In some cases, a claimant may be committing certain acts in violation of criminal and or civil statutes. When evidence of a crime is detected, we professionally gather evidence in such a manner that a criminal case may be presented for criminal or civil prosecution. In some cases our clients assign us the claim with pre-knowledge that the claimant may be committing fraud. Our assignment is to document the claimant’s fraudulent activities. We are expected to completely investigate the allegations. We gather evidence (verbal, written and video) on behalf of our client.DISCRIMINATION INVESTIGATIONS
On occasion a claimant may contend that he or she was discriminated against by his employer. In these investigations the word or term "discrimination" usually refers to the claimant’s contention that an employer discriminated against him because of his injury, condition or disability. It is our task to investigate the claimant’s allegations on behalf of the employer. We interview witnesses and gather evidence in defense of the employer.BACKGROUND INVESTIGATIONS
When an employer is seeking to hire an employee for a sensitive or important position within their company they may wish to verify the claimant's stated background. Often job applicants embellish on their backgrounds of work history, family history or criminal or civil involvements. Our task in these types of investigations is to verify the information provided by the job applicant. PRE-EMPLOYMENT BACKGROUND SERVICES
Your business is your livelihood. The hiring of non-qualified employees can be a threat to your bottom line. Warrant Investigations will conduct pre-employment screenings of prospective employees. We check the criminal record of the employee. Also checked are the driving history and civil history (including bankruptcies, liens, and judgments) of the applicant. We conduct address verifications, check past employment, as well as verify college degrees. We also provide pre-employment drug screening. Our background checks normally take only two to three days. You are provided with a detailed report of the prospective employee’s background. Costs of our services are usually under $200.CRIMINAL/CIVIL INVESTIGATIONS
We offer our expertise in investigating all types of criminal and civil violations. Most of our investigators have law enforcement backgrounds. If someone is involved in a traffic accident where there is damage or injuries, sometimes the person may be cited by law enforcement for alleged violations of the vehicle code. Also, the investigating police officer may allege in his written report that you were "at fault" for the accident. If this is the case, you may be liable for civil or criminal penalties. We are affiliated with former traffic accident investigators who are qualified experts in the "reconstruction of an accident."
